I like Rita Hayworth, Sailor Moon, sit coms, British and Russian lit, yummy food, anything pink, everything retro, cigarettes, feminism, and anything alcoholic and/or fabulous. My guilty pleasures revolve around sweets and bad reality tv.
Dinner: Filet Mignon steak with oven-roasted asparagus.
Directions for the Asparagus:
- Preheat the oven to 425 F
- Rinse the asparagus, snap off the bottom inch or so, and snap the remaining top section into 2 pieces
- Place on parchment paper on a baking sheet in a single layer
- Drizzle with a little olive oil
- Season with freshly-ground black pepper and sea salt
- Bake for about 10 mins

You know I’ve never been a joiner or a member of any particular social set, but I’ve been privileged to be a part of Hollywood’s most glorious era. And yet, tonight, thinking of all the empty screens that are waiting to be filled with marvelous images and ideologies, points of view— and considering all the students who are studying film technique in the universities throughout the world and the astonishing young talents that are coming up in our midst, I think there’s an even more glorious era right around the corner.
